Erase Mistakes with Professional Proofreading
Hiring a professional proofreader is essential to ensure that your written work is polished and free from errors. A trained proofreader brings a keen eye for detail, capable of spotting mistakes in grammar and punctuation, typos and inconsistencies that you may overlook. A proofreader can make creative suggestions pertaining to the paragraphing, punctuation, syntax and word choice to perfect your work in its final stages. This expertise not only enhances the clarity and coherence of your writing, but also boosts your credibility with readers, clients or academic evaluators.
The Proofreading Process
After discussing the time frame, word count and price, the work will be submitted for an extensive check of the spelling, punctuation and grammar. This will also include some structural checks, such as the accuracy of your paragraphing. In some cases, suggestions may be based not only on literal accuracy but also creative impact. Corrections can be made either directly onto the writing or using track changes/commenting features, depending on what you, the client, prefer.
Proofreading services are recommended to those who have a completed text which requires no further edits. As a Proofreader, it’s my job to come in at the very end and ensure your work is ready to be sent to its final destination.
Please note: pricing is competitive but not displayed on this site due to the inherent changeability of the parameters regarding proofreading.
I have worked for five years as a freelance proofreader with a small client base that I am looking to expand. My excellent pace of work and accuracy has enabled me to build an excellent relationship with my clients, resulting in annually renewed contracts and increases in workloads. Furthermore, I also worked as a Proofreader on the 2024 edition of ‘From Arthur’s Seat’. As a result, I have a rounded and varied experience as a proofreader ranging from poetry, short stories and other forms of prose, articles, academic essays and reports.
