Sometimes its hard to put pen to paper, or to share your work with other people, even more so, the world. How can you start if you don’t believe in your own voice and the value of the things that you have to say?
Its easier said than done, we all know that. But the reward outweighs the risk, sending my work out into the world to be enjoyed by others has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. Knowing the impact of a moment of reading the words I spent hours agonising over makes it all worth it.
Years sat in university writing classes, hearing the feedback of my peers, has built my confidence immeasurably. Writing isn’t meant to be a solitary act; it’s what unites us as we see others’ perspectives and learn more about the world around us as a result.
